Stade Bollaert-Deleli Lens

Racing Club de Lens is the home town club of the Northern French city of Lens, they play their football in French second division, Ligue 2.

Despite being relegated from Ligue 1 two seasons ago, Lens have achieved major honours in French football winning the Ligue 1 Championship in the 97/98 season and also reaching a UEFA Cup Semi Final back in 2000.

Racing Club Lens play at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis, a 38,000 capacity stadium that was renovated in preparation for staging 4 matches in the Euro 2016 tournament.

The Stade Bollaert Delelis has been the home of RC Lens since 1933

RC Lens main rivals are Lille OSC who they contest the “Derby Du Nord”

Remarkably the population of the city of Lens is also 38,000 so they could all fit inside the stadium on a match day. This season they’ve not been far off that mark with an average of 25,000 fans turning up to watch RC Lens in Ligue 2.
